Artspace Mackay is the architectural award winning regional art gallery that is located in the centre of Mackay. Your guests can discover exhibitions about art and history before they dine in style in this landmark building. The large spacious foyer makes a great location for dinners or cocktail functions while the fully appointed seminar room is an excellent venue for small meetings, workshops and seminars.
Artspace Mackay is open to the public from 10:00am until 5:00pm from Tuesday
until Sunday (closed Mondays) and functions can only be booked outside those times.
The Seminar Room can be booked during opening hours.
the foyer
Dine or meet surrounded by artworks by local and visiting artists in the Foyer at
Artspace Mackay. This spectacular airy space provides you with a perfect spot for
cocktail functions or for a conference dinner. Special viewings of the main gallery can
also be organized for your guests to enjoy the current exhibition prior to their meals
or during the function.

foodspace café
Foodspace café provides a superb venue for breakfast meetings, smaller dinners or casual get-togethers after hours. This fully licensed café and restaurant is popular for
the quality of its food, the stylish ambience and the contemporary mix of indoor and
outdoor dining options.

seminar room
The Artspace Mackay Seminar Room is set-up for meetings, workshops, seminars and presentations by businesses and community groups.

exhibition gallery
The main gallery space may be used for functions only on a case by case basis. No food or drink is permitted into the Exhibition Gallery. Viewings can be arranged for your guests of the exhibition on display.

The theatre has a large, well stocked bar plus a café which operates for preshow
dinners and during interval.
The Mackay Entertainment Centre is available for meetings, seminars, conferences
and functions and has the flexibility to stage any sized event. With its central location
and easy parking in the civic centre precinct the Mackay Entertainment Centre is the
ideal place for your next corporate or private function.

creates the perfect venue for any event; from the most intimate private function to a
large elegant extravaganza. As well as being large enough to host trade exhibitions
and expos, it can be configured for banquet seating up to 400, 300 in classroom
style and 1100 for cocktail functions.
the auditorium
can seat up to 1090 for presentations and is fully equipped with lighting, sound and
audio visual facilities.
the space
seats 100 in theatre mode, up to 140 classroom style, 120 banquet and 200 for
cocktail functions.
the mezzanine
there are two mezzanine areas north and south, each with a large external balcony
ideal for small functions and suitable for breakout areas during conferences.

peaceful setting.
Unique opportunities to utilise the Gardens for break-out areas, tailored guided walks
through the Gardens and a quality and convenient café/catering option on-site – even
special gala marquee celebrations – all combine to make the Mackay Regional Botanic
Gardens a special venue.
the meeting room
Part of the Administration complex building, this room features a simple, modern
layout adjacent to the Lagoon Lookout deck and café and gallery. Large glass doors
open onto the deck and vertical blinds can be closed for privacy.

Conference table style seating for 12 > Classroom style seating for 16
U-shape style seating for 20 > Theatre style seating for a maximum of 30

lagoons gallery + café
The Lagoons Gallery is a premier space in the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens.
Available for your next dinner presentation, reception or cocktail function with
capacity for sit down for 50 cocktail style for 100+. A large glass feature wall looks
into the rainforest Eungella Cloud Garden and offers glimpses of the Lagoons and
surrounding Gardens.The Lagoons Gallery offers you a unique and high profile
location. Staff can offer you expert knowledge to create a unique themed night that
your guests will remember.
Lagoons Gallery – a 5 sided space apprx 14 metres x 9 metres.
The Lagoon Café Deck is acovered venue directly adjacent to the Gallery for
outdoor functions with panoramic views of the Lagoons and Botanic Gardens.
The Lagoon Deck is suitable for 70 seated or stand-up cocktail style functions for 300+
Lagoon Café Deck – a covered curving timber deck apprx 36 metres x 5 metres
Please note that minimum catering may apply. The Lagoons Café is event licensed.
