quotes
all quotes are offers of our service to do business with you and are not set in stone. Changes to requirements will alter quote. Quotes are not confirmed bookings until advised in writing and invoiced deposit received. Prices may be subject to change.

order confirmation
signed and/or written confirmation and payment of your deposit by the due date acknowledges and accepts our terms and conditions. Should a deposit be received without the signed contract, it is deemed that the client has accepted and agreed to Grinders terms and conditions.

payment
our easy payment options include:
> cash – please advise who to collect payment from
> online bank deposit – contact our office on 4942 9563 for bank details
> credit card payment – visa, mastercard, american express, diners.

credit card payments will incur a 2.5% surcharge on the total amount being paid per transaction.

surcharges will apply for all events held on Sundays (10%) and Public Holidays (15%), this surcharge is calculated on the total food and beverage spend.

functions in excess of 200 guests – surcharges negotiable.

cancellation
all cancellations must be made in writing.

if cancellation occurs more than 60 days prior to the event date, 100% of the deposit will be refunded.

if cancellation occurs between 15-59 days prior to the event date, 35% of the deposit will be refunded.

if cancellation is received less than 14 days prior to the event date, the cancellation fee will consist of the total deposit and all non refundable charges.

if cancellation occurs within 48 hours to the event, 50% of the total food and beverage costs will be charged, based on the confirmed or estimated numbers.

guest numbers
the nominated attendance figure must be confirmed no later than 14 days prior to the event. This is accepted as the guaranteed minimum number of guests and is charged for irrespective of the number of attendees.

menu selection

no food or beverage from an outside source will be permitted to be brought into any area by any guest/attendee.

grinders reserves the right to substitute items that become unavailable in the market.

for the safety of guests we do not allow potentially hazardous foods to remain in service beyond two hours. We will take care of proper disposal. In addition, prepared foods that are not consumed at the event may not be removed from the serving area unless previously confirmed.

venue access + availability
included in your venue hire is the availability to access the function room prior to your event, dependant upon other events occurring on that day. Access for wheelchairs is available as well as disabled bathrooms.

it is the responsibility of the client to inform us of any additional access requirement in writing prior to the event. Should deliveries to the venue prior to the event be necessary our staff must be informed to ensure safe storage.

responsibility
grinders’ does not accept responsibility for damage to or loss of any client’s property prior to, during or after a function. Organisers are financially responsible for any damage sustained to venue fittings, property or equipment by clients, guests or outside contractors prior to, during or after the event. Nothing is to be nailed, screwed, stapled or adhered to any wall, door or other surface or part of the building.

all signage in public areas must be initially approved.

indemnity
the client uses and occupies any venue booked on their behalf by Grinders Corporate Catering at their own risk. The client indemnifies Grinders from all actions, claims, costs and expenses incurred relating to costs with external companies, injury, loss and damage, and takes full responsibility.

where a venue is booked by Grinders Corporate Catering on behalf of a client, the client is also bound by the terms and conditions of the venue. A copy of venue specific terms and conditions will be provided on request.

laws + regulations
at no time, should the client commit any act or permit its employees, agents or invitees to commit any act that is illegal, noisome, offensive or is in breach of any statutes, by-laws, orders, regulations or other provisions having the force of the law. Including but not limited to Queensland Liquor Licensing Department, Fire Regulations and Workplace Health & Safety Policies.

the sale and service of alcoholic beverages are regulated and as licensee Grinders is responsible for the administration of these regulations. Functions involving the service of alcoholic beverages will comply to the Liquor Act. It is the policy of Grinders not to serve minors alcohol (even in the company of a parent or guardian) or intoxicated or disorderly persons. Management also reserves the right to remove any disruptive individuals.
